A Day with Sweet Friends and Sad Goodbyes

As I have mentioned before, I have been in a Bible Study this year called Community Bible Study (LOVE it and HIGHLY recommend it...it is all over the world, you should check it out.)
One of the joys of this study has been the wonderful women I have gotten to know. I have thoroughly enjoyed them all. We've had a precious leader and there were 2 other pregnant girls in my group. That was really fun.
A special blessing for me has been my friendship with Julie (one of the other new mothers) and MF.
Julie and I have had the treat of going to spend a day at MF's house in Wimberley a couple of times. Julie and I could just sit and talk and enjoy MF for hours. She has a beautiful ranch with so much history and MF and her husband Bill have an amazing life story that we just eat up. It is a very special day when we get to go to MF's.
And Audrey and Alaina love MF too...
I love to see MF love on my baby. It is so special.
MF was talking to Audrey here. Can't you just see how special and fun she is?
Audrey can't get enough of her.

This is Alaina and her friend Caidyn enjoying the day.
Audrey met some chickens. This one was really fat!

We went on a little walk and Audrey led the way.

And then today was my last day at CBS. I am so sad to be moving away from these ladies. I would have loved to have been in a group with them for years to come. How grateful I am to them for their encouragement and for their love for God and His word. What a blessing they have been in my life this year. I do look forward to keeping in touch with each of them as I leave.
Thank you God for these beautiful, godly women!
My friends Julie and Alisha...
I love you ladies!

Happy Birthday Big Girl!

Today was Audrey's 2nd Birthday! Can you believe she's 2? We had a nice day at home together with some fun birthday treats (including Nana being here!) Happy Birthday baby girl!

The birthday girl opened a few presents at breakfast.

She really wanted to blow out the candle...

yea!

Now some painting fun...

And some candy filled Easter Eggs...

Mrs. Stephanie, Logan and Zack came over to wish Audrey Happy Birthday. They brought her the sweetest backpack.
At this point Audrey was pretty worn out and had to have a nap. And Mommy, Daddy and Nana got busy packing. Packing you say? What, we're moving? Yep! (notice all the boxes and mess in the background of the pics.)
More info. in the week to come...

Happy Birthday to our Sweetie Pie Pie!!!

St. Patrick's Prayer

Today I came upon a prayer written by St. Patrick....
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ at my right, Christ at my left,
...
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks to me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.

In my Bible study today we were talking about how Jesus is so Faithful. He only does that which His Father commands, 0nly that which He sees His Father doing. We were questioning how we could follow Christ's example and only do that which is from God.
Is that even remotely possible in our lives?
This prayer is a great picture of that kind of faithfulness and devotion. The only way that I can live a life of obedience is through Christ in me, abiding in Christ.
It's only through
"Christ in me, the hope of glory."

She's Getting so Big!

Wow, Alaina is getting so big! She is almost 4 months old and has gotten big enough to start enjoying the exersaucer. (She wants to sit up where she can see everything...and keep us in sight all the time!)
Those eyes! They are so big all the time.

And we are getting so many smiles...

Alaina loves her big sissy
And Audrey just LOVES playing with Alaina. This must be a tiny glimpse into what Alaina will put up with in the future as Audrey's little sister...

She didn't seem to mind being a human sticker album. FYI Nettie doesn't mind either. She runs around half the time with stickers all over her back.
(If you plan on sending Audrey a gift in the near future, let me request no stickers...although she would LOVE them!)
