Pink Toes

Tonight my cutie pie had her toenails painted for the first time.
Big Girl

So fun!
The world of painted nails has begun.
It is a gorgeous day here in Ft. Worth and Daddy came home early
so we headed to the park to play.

Alaina's first time in the swings
We swang for a LONG time.

So long that Alaina fell fast asleep.
What a life eh?

snacks...
I'm a Ft. Worth girl now!

What a fun time we had.
Tomorrow we are meeting our little cousin Jack at the park.
Audrey is so excited already.

Big Girls

Our baby girl is almost 5 months old and she tried her first rice cereal last night.
I think it was kind of shocking to her.
But she actually took it a lot better than Audrey did for the first time.

We'll try again today.
~
On another note...an Audrey note...
Last night we were reading a Curious George ABC book.
I said "abcdefg" and Audrey said "hijklmnop."
Then later I read "hijklmnop" and she said "qrstuvwxyz now I said my abc's next time won't you sing with me."
What!
Smarty pants!

Walkin

This week we started walking in our neighborhood.
We have wonderful walking trails all through our neighborhood and a great park with a playground that Audrey loves.
Here are Audrey and Alaina ready for their first neighborhood exploration...
(Audrey has decided lately that she doesn't want her picture taken.
Alaina, however, was definitely up for it.)
Off we go!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to my girls! What a great day we had at church and with our family.

Aren't my girls precious. They looked so sweet for Easter.
Not so easy to get these girls to cooperate with picture taking at this point.
Gia and Alaina

Gia and her girls
My handsome husband and sweet baby girl

Audrey got to swim in the hot tub with her cousins. She loved it...as you can tell.

Audrey and her Aunt Sarah and Gia. She just can't get enough of them.
What a great day!
Now back to work on our house...

Introducing our New Home

We are now officially home owners! Yea!
We have relocated to Fort Worth, TX (Keller, TX ISD.)
Troy transferred to the Ft. Worth office of Entech and we are only an hour from my family. If you hadn't heard, we have been talking about this for awhile and finally decided that one of our main reasons for leaving Boston was to be closer to family and since coming back to Texas 2 yrs. ago we have realized that if we are going to be here, we need to take advantage of it and actually be closer to family. So, since there was an Entech office in the DFW area, Ft. Worth was the best choice.
We are also excited because there is a church here that we are really looking forward to checking out (more on that later.)
Anyway, here is the house....(these are "before" pictures...there is much work to be done...which you will see later...)
The house is in a GREAT neighborhood, with a great school, parks, walking trails. Fun stuff. Nice trees. We love it. It's a 1989 house. We like that it is a bit older.
above is the living/dining room. This pic doesn't do it justice in the size area. It's huge. Those are back windows into back yard. Carpet is coming up...is actually up now.
den/family room/kitchen combo. We love this room. Carpet coming tomorrow! This pic also doesn't do the size justice. That door in the back is to the 4th bedroom/office. Troy is really excited about this room. And it is quite large. He is decorating this room. He has big plans for it.
Kitchen complete with ugly wallpaper (which is now gone) and part of den.

master bedroom ...is now repainted.
master bath...will be repainted.
Audrey's room...is now yellow.
part of backyard...can't wait to work on this! And we have lots of trees.

Now, some renovation pics...

The pink room is Alaina's

scraping popcorn off the ceiling and pulling off wallpaper. This is the girl's bathroom.
Nettie even got in on the painting.
She loves to lay against the wall and every time we would paint around a baseboard it seemed we would look over and see her laying against it. She has the colors from every room somewhere on her. And it's been on her for 4 days.
You'll get a bath soon Nettie.
Add that to our "to do" list. :)

More pics to come.
Carpet comes tomorrow. More painting to do (we are repainting the whole house.) Troy is laying down hardwoods in part. The list goes on. We'll keep you posted.
