Trunk or Treat...Halloween Post #1

Tonight we decided to start our Halloween early and take the little cuties to a local

"Trunk or Treat"...

These sure were 2 cute little Tinkerbells.

Precious Faces

Audrey did a good job of going up to get a piece of candy or two and saying "Thank you."

Laina would go up and dig around in the candy and keep taking more

until I helped her move on.

Got some cute little face painting from the Wicked Witch.

When Laina had her turn she just stared so hard at the Wicked Witch and would say "hat. hat."

It was a really fun evening. Now they are really ready for their first big

Trick or Treat night together.

Bring on the candy neighbors. :)

Mommy's Birthday Festivities

Well, Friday was my 39th birthday. Can you believe it?!

We had a great weekend full of time with our home group, great breakfast, some garden shopping and planning, and finally time with my family...

Audrey and Alaina LOVED every minute with the fam.

Laina was a little tinkerbell live wire.

Audrey enjoyed carving a pumpkin with her cousins...or watching them carve.

Here is the final product - after his nose fell apart. :)

Yummy strawberry cake was had by all...

see Eddie oohing and aahing...or probably finding some reason to make fun of the awesome cake as he always does.

Laina ate every chance she got

We enjoyed some awesome chocolate covered strawberries that I got as a special birthday treat...

Laina gave Cole some sweet kisses

and wrestled all over her cousins and Aunt Sarah.

Audrey did some hair makeovers while Laina modeled for us.

And, as is normal for such an occasion...uncle Eddie napped.

A very fun time was had by all!

Nennie

Mommy's oldest friend, Mrs. Stephanie, came to spend a few nights with us recently.

Audrey and Alaina were immediately taken with Mrs. Stephanie...or Nennie as Laina says.

They had some really fun storytime.

They also got to hear Mrs. Stephanie and Mommy tell stories that Bapa told us when we were little girls. Mrs. Stephanie remembered them word for word. She's a great storyteller!

Audrey loved Mrs. Stephanie's jewelry.

Laina was particularly interested in Nennie's shoes.
Thank you for visiting us Nennie.

We love you!

Fall at the Arboretum

Today we went to see Fall at the Dallas Arboretum with our friend Mrs. Marilyn.

It was a beautiful day to be out...

Mrs. Marilyn gave the girls sweet little pumpkin cookies to eat in the pumpkin patch.

They LOVED it!

What a great day! Thank you Mrs. Marilyn!
