Home Group Camping Fall 2012

The Douglases are home and worn out from a great weekend camping with our Home Group.
We sure picked a great weekend for camping.  It was COLD.  Made us feel like we were camping in New England again.  We wore our sweatshirts and winter caps the whole time and really had to snuggle up to keep warm at night.
Here we are in the Jeep and Pop up...adventure ready.
Didn't actually get to canoe.  Way to windy.  But Troy and the girls did get to fish...while Mommy got to lay in bed and read.  :)  ...heaven.
Audrey and Alaina both made cookies to take on our trip.
Audrey made Gingerbread and Alaina made some yummy chocolate chip.

Nettie had a great time too.  She roamed all over our campsites...well, she mostly followed Mommy all over the campsites.  And it was so cold at night that all 4 girls slept bundled up together.  4 in a row...Alaina, Mommy, Nettie and Audrey covered from head to toe.  Nettie slept with her head on the pillow right between Mommy and Audrey.  That was some good campin snugglin.  And Daddy got to sleep all sprawled out on a bed to himself!
Some snackin in the Pop Up.
I actually bought Easy Cheese.  First time since probably jr. high that I had sprayed some cheese.
Decided my kids needed to experience the Easy Cheese phenomenon while camping.
The girls and some of their sweet friends...Julia (whom Alaina adores) Abby (who Audrey says is one of her very best friends), and sweet Lizzy with the owl eyes.
What a perfect weekend of camping.
...way more perfect now that I am home, clean, and toasty warm.  :).

Love it! How fun and glad it was cool for you. We still have our Pawtucket coffee mug. Cannot part with it. And Miss. Alaina...your hat is awesome. Glad it is still being used. I guess Miss. Audrey needs a new one. Love you loads. Wish we were campin with you.
